It has been said that in order to be great in the eyes of God, we must become little, and this community is great in its littleness. John Paul the Great Academy is not only a special school, but a singular community, a community devoted to the one-minded pursuit of God and raising up human beings to stand as the Guardians of our faith and our heritage. This is a place where parents and students alike are challenged to grow in holiness.
Following in the way of our patron Pope St. John Paul the Great, we embrace the universal call to holiness and urge students “not to be satisfied with mediocrity,” but to “cast out into the deep” in the pursuit of holiness. Here we seek to build “intrepid apostles of His Gospel and builders of a new humanity,” as we also seek to form the next generation of We the People.
We believe that every human being has greatness within them, and we teach, and expect, students to grow out of mediocrity into nobility through the practice of virtue. To that end, John Paul the Great Academy offers a rich curriculum steeped in the best of the Western tradition.
Classical, liberal education seeks to make its students fit for freedom by liberating them from ignorance and vice, empowering them to grow in virtue and knowledge. We study all subjects for their own sake and give necessary focus on every part of the human person. The school maximizes learning through a high degree of accountability and an intentional daily schedule. Our school seeks to cultivate an atmosphere of joy, respect, courtesy, and order.
We pray that the fruit of this educational labor be nothing short of an ennobled and capable human being on the road to sainthood. We seek to do all things in excellence for the greater glory of God, that the Earth may be better and Heaven richer because of the life and labor of John Paul the Great Academy.
